FRIK & MARNA @ DRAKENSBERGKLOOF
27 May 2017
Frik and Marna had the most spectacular “winter forest wedding” at Drakensbergkloof. With horses, feathers, such attention to detail and special sentiment where we did not expect it. Thank you Frik and Marna for sharing your special day with us.Thank you to Juné Joubert their photographer for sharing Frik and Marna’s photos with us. Visit her blog for more amazing photos.
Frik & Marna got married in the countryside, between Memel & Newcastle (KwaZulu-Natal) on the beautiful Drakensbergkloof Wedding Venue. I’ll go back there tomorrow. The venue is a bit far out, which gives an excuse for a quiet nature weekend break-away. They have perfect accommodation facilities and the views are stunning. I’m loving winter weddings more and more with the gorgeous colours it presents. The day was filled with so many beautiful details, from the many antique decor elements (which they collected from different homes and places), many colourful flowers, her gran’s classy gloves, gorgeous veil with gold embroidery… there were so many and I’ll let the photos find words that I can not. Marna & her dad had ample time together just before the ceremony while riding alongside one another on horse-back towards the aisle. She shortly mentioned that it was such a special time for them. Witnessing special relationships like these are what I enjoy most about being a wedding photographer.
Baie dankie Marna & Frik – wat ‘n heerlike dag!
